I purchased this scope because I wanted something inexpensive and functional. The name Vivitar sold it for me because I own several of their camera lenses that have lasted 20+ years. This scope is nothing but junk. I paid for cheap and got cheap. The view at 50 yards reminded me of a kaleidoscope with lots of colors and distortion. At 100 yards, forget it. Fortunately for me, the focus mechanism arrived broken (I was able to focus by pulling on the lens piece) so I was able to return it. I no longer trust the name Vivitar and I am shopping for something of better quality.
